Make sure all of the information on the permit is accurate: Name, Phone number, etc. If it isn’t correct let us know!
It is your responsibility to call for inspections at the stages listed on your permit.
Inspections help ensure your construction meets the Ontario Building Code and your approved plans.
Post the permit in a visible location on the construction site for the duration of the project.
You may begin construction only after the permit has been paid in full.
Some municipalities have administrative fees for inactive or delayed building permits. If your permit is over 2 years old contact your municipality for details.
If changes are made to the approved plan you must notify the Building Department.
*there may be a fee associated with major changes
